COFFEE


Coffee contains magnesium & chromium.
Coffee is stimulant, diuretic, anti-narcotic, anti-emetic.
It is high in antioxidants & prevents free radicals from causing cellular damage. These antioxidants help improve insulin sensitivity glucose metabolism in people who are prone to developing diabetes.
Coffee may help reduce the risk of Parkinson's & Alzheimer's disease, as well as heart diseaseliver cirrhosis & type 2 diabetes.
Coffee is causing sleeplessness, hence is useful in cases of narcotic poisoning & against snake bite as it helps stop people falling into coma.
Coffee is also used against drunkenness.
As a powerful diuretic, it can help ease goutrheumatismgravel & dropsy.
Coffee helps reduce fatigue & drowsiness.
Coffee increases the heart rate temporarily, raises the blood pressure & stimulates the lungs.
It increases the body's metabolic rate, promoting the production of urine while relaxing smooth muscles like the bronchial muscles.
It can reduce the risk of gallstones & colon cancerendometrial cancer & aggressive prostate cancer.
Having 2 cups can reduce the muscle pain.
Coffee can be used to help control an asthma attack, to get rid of headaches, to lift the mood as well as prevent depression.
In moderation, coffee stimulates alertness & improves concentration & work rate.

Externally coffee can help prevent dental cavities due to its antibacterial & anti-adhesive qualities.
To treat bad breath chew a coffee bean.

Lightly caffeinated coffee leaves are very high in antioxidants & produce strong anti-inflammatory  health benefits. 
The decoction of coffee leaves have purifying properties to improve blood circulation & hemorrhagic conjunctivitis.


PRECAUTIONS:

Coffee is additive. Use with moderation. Not appropriate for growing children.

It is best avoided in chronic health problems, especially in long-term weakness & exhaustion.
Caffeine tightens the walls of the blood vessels in the brain, which increases blood pressure & decreases the amount of oxygen in the brain.
It’s difficult to get a deep sleep if blood pressure is raised & the brain doesn’t have proper oxygen levels.
Coffee can cause headache, poor sleep, palpitations & heart irregularity, although usually only at high levels of intake.

Stopping regular coffee intake can lead to headaches lasting for up to 4 days.

Coffee can raise cholesterol levels in some people & can contribute to clogging of the arteries.
Excessive use can cause nervousness, trembling of the hands & a rapid heartbeat.
Too much coffee can result in genitor-urinary tract cancer & heart attack over time.
There may be memory problems associated with coffee.
It may make ulcers worse or cause heartburn.
This herb is not recommended for people with ocular hypertension or glaucoma.
Coffee is a high acid herb, which will disrupt the pH balance in the mouth. Tannic acid in coffee can eat away tooth enamel, which also allows traces of coffee’s brown pigment to stain your teeth.
Rinse your mouth with water after every cup.


RECIPES:

Decoction for hemorrhagic conjunctivitis:

prepare with 15 leaves of coffee, boil for 15 min, 

cool & bottle. 

Wash the eyes 2-3 times a day.


Coffee infusion: one to two cups a day, after breakfast & lunch.


Drink for low blood pressure & if you get tired too quick:

6 tbsp coffee, ground
6 cups of water
2 tsp vanilla
2-3 cups sugar
2 cups vodka or brandy
Pour cold water over the coffee, leave for 24 hours.
Strain.
Add vanilla, strain again.
Add sugar & boil slowly until sugar is melted.
Take off the heat, stir in the alcohol.
Heat up again just until the starts steaming, take off the heat. Cool.
Bottle the drink airtight.
Store in the refrigerator.
Take 1 tbsp when needed.

Headaches:

Brew a strong cup of coffee, add the juice of a lemon & drink unsweetened.

Fruity Coffee Drink:

100 ml strong coffee
half banana
3-5 strawberries
1 tsp honey
100 ml orange juice
5 ice cubes
Make coffee. Cool.
Place all ingredients into the blender, except the coffee & ice cubes, blend.
Add coffee & ice, blend again until ready.

Hot Coffee:

1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cardamom
250 ml hot coffee, fresh
fresh cream,whipped
Place spices into the tea strainer & spice up your coffee.
Decorate with whipped cream & cinnamon.

Coffee & Banana Drink:

1 ripe banana
300 ml cold coffee
300 ml cold milk
1 tbsp icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
50 ml fresh cream
Crush banana with little bit of the milk.
Add the rest of the milk, sugar & coffee & blend until fluffy.
Pour into the glasses.
Whisk the cream with vanilla sugar & spoon on top of the coffee drinks.

Cinnamon Coffee:

150 ml fresh cream
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
600 ml strong fresh coffee
Divide the sugar & cinnamon between 4 cups.
Add coffee.
Decorate with whipped cream.

Coffee & Cherry Smoothie:

100 g frozen cherries, pitted
1 small banana
1 dl cold strong coffee
2 dl yogurt
1 tsp vanilla sugar
Defrost the cherries a little at first.
Add cherries, chopped banana, coffee, yogurt & vanilla sugar into the blender & blend until smooth.

Irish Coffee:

Place on to the bottom of the cup sugar & whisky for your taste.
Pour over hot fresh coffee.
Decorate with slightly whipped fresh cream & coffee powder.

Tiramisu: 

250 g mascarpone cheese
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp Marsala, brandy or Tia Maria
150 ml strong coffee or espresso, cooled to room temperature
150 ml fresh cream
4 tbsp icing sugar
16 sponge fingers
Frozen bar of 70% of chocolate bar
Cocoa powder, to dust
Whisk the mascarpone with the vanilla & Marsala & 50 ml coffee, until everything is thoroughly mixed together.
Whisk the cream with the icing sugar until smooth, then fold in the mascarpone mix.
Pour the remaining coffee into a bowl (sweeten with more icing sugar if you like).
Take one sponge finger at a time & dip it in to the coffee. Set it to a side & continue with the remaining biscuits.
Line 4 serving glasses with 4 sponge fingers, breaking them in half if you need to.
Spoon the mascarpone mix in until you reach the top of the glass.
Refrigerate for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
Remove the tiramisu from the fridge.
Take the frozen chocolate bar & grate a little chocolate over the top of each dessert.
Finally, dust with sifted cocoa powder to serve.

Chocolate & Coffee Mousse: 

100 g good quality dark chocolate
2 eggs + 1 tbsp sugar
4 egg whites + pinch of salt + 2 tbsp sugar
1-2 tbsp extremely strong coffee
drop of vanilla extract
25 g of nuts, crushed
Melt the chocolate, cool slightly.
Whisk together the whole eggs & sugar until pale then whisk in the coffee.
Now stir in the chocolate.
Whisk the egg whites with pinch of salt until soft peaks form, whisk in the sugar, then fold through the chocolate mixture until evenly combined.
Spoon into the ramekins or cups & chill for at least 1 h.
Serve with chopped nuts.


BEAUTY:

Coffee contains anti-oxidants that help the skin.
Spent or fresh grounds are good for exfoliating, deep-cleansing & rejuvenating the skin.

Coffee Body Scrub:

Coffee
Honey
Lemon Juice
Mix everything.
Massage with this scrub yourself all over for 6 min & wash it off.
Skin will be very tight, smooth & beautiful.
Good against cellulite.

Or

Scrub your body twice a week with grounds from morning coffee before shower..

Coffee Hair Mask:

This mask will strengthen the hair,gives lovely shine & bounce.
Bare in mind that coffee will darken the hair.
You can just bathe the hair with strong coffee & then wash it off with regular shampoo.
You can do it daily.

Or

Make a strong coffee, add
2 egg yolks
1 tbsp brandy
olive oil
Mix well, cover your hair with this mask, leave for 30 min.
Rinse.
Use this mask once a week.

Face Tonic:

You can make refreshing coffee ice cubes & use them on your face & neck at the morning & before bed.

Or

every morning wash your face with fresh coffee instead of the water.
Very good for aging skin.
Gives to the face darker tones.

Coffee Mask to Fight Wrinkles:

Mix 1 tbsp rye flour with a bit of the fresh coffee until it has sour cream like consistency.
Add 1 egg yolk.
Apply this mask over the face & neck for 15 min.
Rinse with warm water.

Coffee Bath:

Coffee assists in revitalizing a person recovering from a physical illness.
When used in a bath on the onset of an illness, helps one heal & recover faster.
This bath is especially effective after a hard work week.
It helps ease the stress & relieves tension.

Add 6 cups of fresh strong coffee to your bath water.


MAGIC:

Coffee has protective & grounding abilities, helps to dispel negative thought forms, nightmares, overcome internal blockages.
Coffee grounds can be used to cast dark spirit circle since they are dark in color & helps with draining & tearing down energies.
