Holly leaves can be used as tea for colds with feverfeversbronchitisrheumatism, high blood pressure, bladder problems & gout.
The leaves can have a calming effect & they have been known to facilitate better arterial function & blood circulation.
Holly leaf extract is sometimes used to combat jaundice, dizziness & emotional problems.

The primary active ingredient in holly is caffeine & this should be taken into consideration.

The berries typically contain a higher concentration of caffeine than is found in the leaves.

RECIPES:


Steep 1 tsp of the chopped leaf in 1 cup of boiled water for 20 minutes.
Take up to 1 cup during a day.

The juice of the fresh leaf is helpful in jaundice, take 1 tbsp per day.

The male variety of holly brings good luck to men.
Female variety brings good luck to all the women.

If there are many, this is a sign that inclement weather is in the offing.
But if there are few or none, this indicates that the weather will be mild.
